The Magnets Workshop
This session is a fast paced introduction to magnets and magnetic force.
Starting with introduction or recap to the vocabulary to poles, attract, repel with some fun games and demonstrations.
Then the pupils will use the magnets for different challenges thinking about magnetic force and its power.
After lots of hands on time, we look at magnetic fields with iron filing demonstrations before a 3D magnetic field demonstration.
It’s packed full of theory and fun!

By the end of the workshop, students will:
- Gain an understanding of the basics of magnetism.
- Understand how magnetic fields work using the 3D magnetic field demonstrator.
- Be able to name common uses for magnets in day-to-day life.
