The Forces Workshop
This workshop can be combined with the magnets workshop and also contain gravity experiments and explanations – making paper helicopters to think about air resistance and how it affects both nature and technology.
The pinnacle of this workshop is definitely ending with the hoverboard and seeing participants fly in the room (even if only an inch off the floor)!
An introduction to forces, including gravity, and how they dictate how we live our lives.
By the end of the workshop, students will:
- Gain an understanding of the fundamental forces, including gravity.
- Explore gravity using paper helicopters and rides on the hoverboard.
