Fractal Explorations

Fractals are a relatively new branch of mathematics that blossomed after the appearance of computers.

Far from being an obscure branch of mathematics, fractals demonstrate how very complex structures can be built using simple rules repeatedly applied.

Mountains, coastlines, trees, and clouds all have fractal characteristics.

Due to their beautiful, symmetrical nature, fractals have also been described as a crossroads between science and art.
